Field Visit & Assessment: In 2021, we conducted an in-depth field visit to Dularia to understand their vision, assess the operational complexity, and identify the potential for growth and development in their initiatives.
 

Workshop for Business Innovation: We Organised a half-day workshop with Dularia’s grassroots team, focusing on generating innovative business ideas that would preserve local culture and ecology, while ensuring they are commercially viable and sustainable in the long term.
 

Guidance on Operational Roadmap: Provided strategic advice on creating a comprehensive operational roadmap, identifying key marketing avenues, and ensuring that the business ideas align with the values of responsible entrepreneurship.
 

Consultation on Legal & Operational Structure: Consulted with Dularia on the necessary legal and operational framework to establish them as a social enterprise with diverse business product and service offerings. This included providing guidance on the sectors they wished to explore, such as hospitality, rural tourism, tribal eating experiences, learning and development, experiential workshops, and agro and handicrafts.
 

Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Assisted Dularia in designing SOPs to streamline complex operations within a remote village ecosystem, ensuring effective management and scalability of their entrepreneurial initiatives.
 

Community Engagement & Education: Facilitated a workshop with the local farming community around Dularia, focusing on education and awareness. This workshop introduced them to successful models of traditional agriculture and rural tourism in the Western Himalayas, which Impact Investors had previously implemented to revive local economies.
 

Team Structure & Fair Remuneration Model: Provided consultation on establishing team agreements and a fair remuneration/ distribution model that retains a portion of income as profit, while reinvesting the remainder to fuel business growth and sustainability.
 

Promoting Ownership & Sustainability: Designed a model that empowers team members with ownership, ensuring long-term financial sustainability for the enterprise, while respecting the autonomy of the community and its members.
 

Support in Workshop Design & Planning: Assisted Dularia in categorising, designing, and planning their first and flagship season of workshops across chosen streams of products and services. This included ensuring seamless integration of services, a strategic pricing model, and identifying market potential to drive successful outcomes.
 

Ongoing Consultation & Support: We continue to provide ongoing support to Dularia throughout their growth journey, offering consultation as needed. In 2023, we facilitated a follow-up workshop during their field visit to Uttarakhand, allowing the team to reflect on their entrepreneurial progress, celebrate achievements, and realign with their vision for future initiatives and impact.
